There has been alot of buzz about Social Networking for Automotive Dealers and why it is such a great thing for dealers. I try to keep up with the latest online practices even though my dealer is nowhere near being ready for this. I am still trying to convince them of the basics.
Anyway, Social Networking sites such as FaceBook and MySpace are leading the way in general as far as online networking is involved. However, there are some very sharp people out there who understand that cars are in the top 5 reasons people even log on to the net.

Are women being exploited online? Do these sites REALLY want to help women buy cars in a better way? Or are they just in existence to make an income off known cultural ideals and tell people it is niche marketing?
Tell me what you think. Please. I want to write an article on this very subject. I’d like some input from the “Inner Circle” of professionals who subscribe to this newsletter.

Lets face it…
The people on this list are the most well informed, professional people I know in this industry.
And it is obvious which people are most interested [you] in the success of a resource for those specifically interested in the Automotive Internet Sales Management field.
In an effort to be an even better resource for you, I would like feedback on what resources you would like to see added to our blog. I want to add some resources with minimum advertising for those who are faithful to our cause.

Tools & Tips
Vanity Numbers alongside Domain Names.
This month you might try to grab up a couple POWERFUL marketing tools. For example. Lets say you are a Mercedes Dealer in an area where you might not get alot of Mercedes “fresh ups” on the lot everyday. You could buy the vanity number saying something like 1800-M-Country and then buy the domain for 1800-M-Country.COM.
You would then have a perfect recipe for advertising on the web AND in print. It can literally triple your leads if done correctly. AND they are leads who are WAY down in the “Buying Sales Funnel”, meaning a more serious buyer who is ready to deal if terms are agreeable.
