This site has been very busy over the last 8 days since it was born. And since then we have had great response and feedback. We are trying to figure out which way to go on some things and need your feedback.

Have you heard “They will buy here, because we are here” expression?  I have many times.  Online shoppers have their advantage of the online resources and access to many dealers nation wide that can give a wide range of quotes and may even beat the price the local dealers had to offer them.  If it was a standoff “who would win”? The customer of course, they have their shopping tools and are in no need of the Old School Way of walking into the dealership because you are there! Customers have traveled out of state to come and see the product I had offered to them.  Taking care of your customers is the number 1 key to success. Not getting the support from the dealership on the spending to your internet department is not going to only damage them, but their source of local buyers.  Our generation of car buyers is not just a buyer anymore, they are a smart buyer! Once the “Old School” dealerships start realizing the profit that is yet to be made off internet sales, they will see their numbers go up! What are your challanges for an Internet Sales Manager regarding the problems that have occured when not getting the support from your dealer?  Any feed back will help other ISM’s with overcoming those objections!

Ready, Set, lets gamble!

I had recieved this interesting information from a conference I had attended earlier this month on the chances of selling particular customers.  The speaker had said “Think of each sale as a gamble”  So it lays out like this.

What are your chances of closing the:

Walk in      ~       9-10%

Phone up     ~     50%

Repeat / Referall ~60-70%

Internet    ~    90% 

 After seeing the actual numbers laying in front of me, it is really true on the chances of closing the Internet Customers is a better chance to gamble on.  I would throw most of my money on that!

Best Search Engine Optimization Resource I’ve seen yet

Are you a bit of a “Do it Yourselfer?” Try some SEO on for size. 

Awhile ago I bought this SEO Book in ebook format. I needed to find out if my Search Engine Optimization was good for my personal site (non-car business). I am still reading the SEO BOOK, and find it fairly easy to read and understand, although I hate reading books online. So I just print out a bit at a time. I thought you might want to look at buying it for yourself so I signed up as an affiliate to sell it here. I figure it can help pay for this site to keep it free to all visitors. (NO! I am not trying to make a profit on this site - I do that on the lot).

Anyway, I have this site that I have never paid a dime for any type of advertising. It is a site where I promote the Homeschool Curriculum that my wife uses to teach our children. Now my site is still in process of being built (aren’t they all?), but if you google the phrase “noah plan”, you will find this site on the first page at the URL providencebooksource.com. It is down the page a bit, but this site produced $3600 in revenue last year.

It may be worth your while to get this book. Even if you are not going to specifically handle Search Engine Optimization on your site. You can better understand the SEO industry, so you don’t “Get Sold” by some of these SEO businesses directed toward the car business and you can help make sure they don’t do any of those bad things to get your company banned from “Google” or any other search engine.
